Announced on July 10th, 2019 the new switch will be a spinoff of the actual full-sized console that actually “Switches.” This device is perfect for those who enjoy playing a game independently, or for those who like to have a long lasting battery life with a smaller screen.

The Switch Lite will be released and available for purchase on September 20th, 2019 with the price range $199.99

What we know so far:

• This switch doesn’t drop into the dock, so you won’t be able to play on your television.

• Joy-cons are stuck to the sides, which means HD Rumble is now gone and makes this devices strictly for handheld gameplay only.

• A D-Pad has been added for all those who have been desperately asking for it since forever.

• Display will be in 720p and smaller than the original model with a longer battery life.

• Available in colors of Gray, Yellow, Turquoise, and in Pokemon Sword and Shield Edition.
