Meme Meowth and Chunky Pikachu

With less than a month away before Pokemon Sword and Shield comes out, Pokemon is still reeling in all the trailers without spoiling everything. Though in this newest trailer, Pokemon dove into Gigantamax Pokemon and revealed new forms!

In the trailer we see not only final stage evolutions gigantamaxing, but also pre-evolutions. Pikachu and Eevee are two non-final evolution Pokemon that have the ability to gigantamax! Pikachu, when transforming becomes his chunky original form back in Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow, and Eevee as well becoming quite thick itself! All of Pikachu’s electric attacks become G Max Volt Crash and paralysis all enemy Pokemon while Eevee’s normal moves become G-Max Cuddle and all opponent Pokemon who are the opposite gender become infatuated. These Pokemon are only obtained by having saved files from Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee respectively.

The next Pokemon revealed are Charizard and Butterfree who respectively look like the Pokemon forms of Godzilla and Mothera. Charizard now has fiery wings and all fire attacks can burn the opponents while Butterfree’s Bug attacks can cause either sleep, poison or paralysis. These forms are more rare in the game but do not have to do special things.

Finally, for a fee, you can get the Meowth Gigantamax, which resembles the long cat meme we all learned and grew to love. All normal attacks can cause confusion and get a bonus in coins after the battle.

There may be 1 or 2 more trailers but until then we can’t wait for the game coming out November 15th.
